4 Weeks / 4 Artists / 4 Styles – Contemporary Art Online Workshop
Will be held on Zoom on Sunday evenings.
March 29 / April 19
20:00-22:00
This workshop is designed as a process of production and research that aims to explore the ‘fundamental’ principles of art through examples of contemporary art.
During the 4-week program, we will explore different approaches to contemporary art by examining the production methods of important artists. Each week, we will delve into the world of an artist, analyze their way of thinking and producing, and then engage in practical exercises inspired by their approach.
Throughout the program, we will have the opportunity to experience different expressive languages by examining examples from art history. We will aim to develop our own visual language by applying various methods such as figurative deformation, color and rhythm, geometric abstraction, and symbolic expression.
Each class will begin with a brief artist review, followed by a guided exercise. Weekly assignments inspired by the selected artist's approach will be given, and our sketchbook work will continue to develop regularly throughout the workshop.
This workshop is open to anyone who wants to get more acquainted with contemporary art, try different styles, and develop their artistic practice.
(Limited capacity)
